We recently completed some web development work for a company in Brisbane, Australia. The full site is still in development within the company, so it’s not live yet but we wanted to show off some of the work we implemented as part of our brief.
The site runs on the open-source WordPress CMS, and we were asked to implement an interactive element to it’s theme. We decided to use Vincent Garreau’s particles.js, which is a JavaScript library for drawing an overlay of floating interactive particles. These are rendered in real-time in your browser, and respond to your mouse inputs, so you can “push” the particles around.
We think the result is pretty cool, and you can see a full screen demo we’ve put together here.
They do seem to have a somewhat therapeutic quality to them….
